GETTING AROUND


UPVM has several sites, which you may be required to visit to take classes:

    The Route de Mende campus:  
    The Route de Mende Campus is the main campus of our university, and you will be expected to visit it at least once during your stay at UPVM.

    The nearest streetcar stop is Saint-Eloi (line 1). It is also served by bus lines 10 and 15 (Saint-Eloi stop), line 22 and the Navette (Vert Bois stop), and line 10 (Moulin du Gasconnet stop).
    Saint-Charles site:
    Although the majority of courses take place on the Route de Mende Campus, some Master's courses and doctoral seminars are held on the Saint-Charles site, located in downtown Montpellier.

    The Saint Charles campus is served by tramway line 1 (stop place Albert 1er), tramway line 4 and bus lines 6 and 7 (stop Albert 1er cathedral) and line 10 (stop Saint-Roch).
     
    The Boutonnet site :
    The Boutonnet campus is accessible by tramway with line 1 (Stade Philippidès or Boutonnet stop) or by bus with lines 10 (pierre d'Adhémar stop) and 15 (fac de pharmacie stop).
     
    The Saint Louis site:
    The Saint Louis campus is accessible by tramway with line 3 (Plan Cabanes stop) and by bus with line 10 (Paladhile stop) and line 6 (Doria stop).
     
    Béziers site:

Bus, streetcar, car, bike: getting around Montpellier has never been easier !

Montpellier is served by 4 tramway lines and 36 bus routes. To find a route using the city's public transport system, visit the TaM website or the TaM mobile application.

Tickets can be purchased at stations and on the M'Ticket application. Subscriptions can be purchased online, via the app or the website, to validate your Pass Gratuité if you are a resident of the Montpellier metropolitan area and wish to benefit from free transport.

On the university campus, facilities and services dedicated to cycling encourage sustainable and practical mobility for students and staff.

. 573 Bicycle parking facilities
 With 573 bicycle parking spaces, the campus offers a safe and convenient place to park bicycles, encouraging the use of this ecological and economical mode of transport.

. 6 Electric Bike Charging Stations
For fans of electric mobility, the campus offers 6 charging points dedicated to electric bikes.

. 1 Inflation Station
An inflation station is available on campus, enabling cyclists to maintain tire pressure and ensure comfortable, safe journeys.

. Bike Repair Workshops
The Ateliver Vélo 34 association regularly organizes bicycle repair workshops on campus. These free sessions offer the chance to maintain and repair bicycles, encouraging sustainability and autonomy in the upkeep of this environmentally-friendly means of transport.
Public transport

 

With nearly fifty regular routes, LiO coaches and buses serve the department’s major arteries and municipalities, with connections to neighbouring departments: Gard to the north; Aude to the south; Tarn and Aveyron to the west.

Modulauto is a car-sharing service for private individuals and professionals alike. Vehicles are available 24/7 with more than 100 cars across 50 stations.
