Fostering European professional culture: Montpellier Paul-Valéry University hosts its first international Staff Week.

By welcoming around fifteen colleagues from universities in Central and Eastern Europe for a Staff Week, DRIF aims to encourage the emergence of a common professional culture across the continent.

For the very first time, Paul-Valéry University's International Relations and Francophonie Department is organising a Staff Week. These meetings, which are held periodically between universities taking part in the Erasmus+ programme, aim to build a common European culture around a variety of professional topics concerning higher education staff and the exchange of good practice.

International mobility work sessions

Scheduled to take place from 21 to 25 May, this first event in Montpellier will involve a large part of the DRIF team for five days and will bring together representatives from universities in Armenia, Spain, Georgia, Kosovo, Lithuania, Montenegro and the Czech Republic.

The meetings, organised on UPV Saint-Charles site, will be devoted to working sessions on the strategic issues and implementation of international mobility, particularly in the context of the Erasmus+ scheme for International Credit Mobility (outside Europe), and to exploring our campuses and the Hérault region (a visit to Aigues-Mortes is scheduled for Saturday 25 May).

We eagerly await the participation of several members from partner universities :

- The Rector and Vice-Rector for Education and Scientific Affairs of Brusov State University (Armenia);
 - Two Directors of International Relations from Ilia and Samtskhe-Javakheti State Universities (Georgia);
 - Two Erasmus+ institutional coordinators from Yerevan State University (Armenia) and Tbilisi Academy of Arts (Georgia);
 - A teacher from the University of Pristina (Kosovo);
 - Several managers from the Cooperation and Mobility departments of the Universities of Oviedo and Cadiz (Spain) and the University of Montenegro (Montenegro).
